Massage and bodywork sessions at Torque happen right out in the open—no private room, just real results. Our performance-based bodywork doesn’t require undressing, so if you're cool with people seeing you get some hands-on recovery while they hit their workouts, this setup might be your new favorite thing. It’s efficient, affordable, and a great way to stay connected with an awesome gym community.

Bowen & Fascial Therapy

This session type includes “all the tools in the toolbox.” In addition to the techniques used in the Therapeutic Massage session, this session includes Bowen technique. Bowen is a unique modality that uses gentle “rolls” or “strums” over muscle and connective tissues to elicit a recallibrating nervous system effect. This modality targets the body as a whole and is often described as “stimulating the body to heal itself.” The Bowen moves send vibrations through the tissues to help the nervous system readjust tension systemically, instead of just mechanically massaging specific areas. Clients often feel waves of relaxation and ease as the body becomes less strained and clenched. This session is an excellent choice for people with migraines, chronic pain, chronic stress, trauma, sport-related aches, and more. Most of this session is typically done on the massage table. 30/60/90 minute sessions available.

Functional Integration Session

Targeted bodywork combined with muscle re-education for true healing, performance enhancement, and injury prevention.

This session is ideal for recurring dysfunctions like neck/shoulder tension, joint pain, postural/movement asymmetries, and more. Many of these issues are caused by muscle weakness and imbalances and are exacerbated by the stress of constant pain and discomfort. This session is the best of both worlds! By using movement assessments and corrections with bodywork to resolve the muscle imbalances causing pain, clients can learn long-term solutions while also getting the much-needed relief from the stress of chronic pain.

Includes:

  • Brief assessment of muscles and joints

  • Massage and bodywork to resolve movement issues, reduce strain and tension, and promote healing and safety in the body

  • Targeted exercises guided and corrected by coach/therapist to resolve causes of pain and dysfunction

  • Review of corrective exercises and self-care for you to do on your own for faster progress

Reflexive Performance Reset Session (RPR)

RPR is a breathing and bodywork technique that resets the nervous system and enhances its input to your muscles. This is the first step in the process of moving well.

If you’ve ever struggled to activate muscles you know are not working properly, but can’t seem to “will” them into working, your problem may be nervous-system based. This session is for you!

Also included in this session are targeted exercises to help strengthen weak muscles and reduce imbalances so the compensations don’t return!

When we use RPR on our clients and athletes, they see faster progress, feel better inside and outside of the gym, and improve their overall abilities.
